The Use of Type as a Visual Element

this was a project I had to do for class
what do you guys think? CnC please ;)

Not bad however a few problem with this one.
The coloring in the back of the text is wayy too blurry. Sharpen it or get rid of the blur, it's really distracting.

The TYPETYPETYPE at the top is unneeded and drawing the viewsers eye away from the focal point.
Next time try a quote or something, they are easier to trun into typo.

Those were the only words I was allowed to use

and it's meant to be printed
i guess I should've explained that in the original post lol:p
when it's printed out it gives it a 3D feel and has great depth
it looks much different on paper, papa
try printing it :)

i feel the colour just mis too much.. im not very fond of the colour choice.. and the composition is a bit wierd..:/

i'm sorry but i will have to call you out on this one being graphic design what i study i can say right out the bat something will only look as good when printed as it looks in the screen unless you are workign with RGB for printing process will defeats the whole purpose of even creating soemthing for print in RGB putting that aside clearly see major flaws in the compo in general the message is unclear and lacks force as for the whole feeling the colors dont complement each other more than clash with each other, i really dont see where are we going with the blob of colors behind that if your focus is the text perhaps a text composition creating out a figure is more likely to be effective for here the colors take out the point of the message and distract the viewer as for the typetype i see no real justification as to why is it there.

when concieving a work as LP u have to go from a range of common direction and sense also the power of the message and the ehancement of that if you want to distract or creat a shock factor its ok unless you can justify it in order to enhance the whole image if elements clash with each other it makes the piece hard to look at maybe dull. there is always a beauty in chaos is also a rule i hope you take into consideration this factors for your next work overall i think its a good idea but lacks work and concievment allthough overall its a good piece for a beginner
