Yeah Aces got it dead on: The second render is sick! :D I love what you did with that one. :P The brushing, wrapped around the arm is very cool.

I would brighten up some parts of the bg. And maybe do a continuation of his tshirt colour through one of the sets of lines. Just so it flooooooooooows.

I also don't like his desaturated hand!
