my second pretty in depth stock manipulation (lost my first when computer crashed), just want to know which you prefer and what you think can be improved upon or added.
* haha the title is a title, It's not referring to my gfx skills at all, just wanted to clear up cause I wasnt trying to be conceded :p

lol. Overall i think this is too busy. the color combo in 2 doesn't work at all V2 is one for the recycling bin.
But v1 is alright. Theres too many effects rigth above his chest. try and limit that and then also just paint in a bit of negative space and add some contrast and it'd be 10 times better.
not too abd though.

the effects on his body are actually supposed to look like rain hitting off him and the one to the right of his head is supposed to look as if he jerked his head up quick and the water flung off it
rather than making the stocks look pretty I try to change the feel of the picture altogether, in this case making a dying soldier in the middle of a battlefield into a man giving up and falling to his knees (bowing; which is where i got the title)
haha i fail :(

Papa touched on almost everything, one thing that you might consider doing is decreasing the canvas on the side just a bit because there is a lot of negative space. Not too much because that would make it crowded but enough so that the focal is very clear. :D Nice tag.

Agree with the above. And it wouldn't be necessarily a bad thing to put the focal point off center. I feel like that might encourage the flow of the motion of his head and the effects there if you cut in the left side some. Overall it's not bad, the effects are well done if maybe a lil too much. But this makes me look forward to seeing some of your other work
