try adding more effects.. you can use filters and layers to get a cool effect.. just erase the unwanted parts to make a cool effects... one that I like doing is

Copy the render, in this case pikachu, and go to filter>distort>wave

then apply it again.. ( so twice total ) and you get a cool wavy effect that's good for adding flow.. there's a lot more effects and combinations.. keep fooling around with them..
