i got bored decided to try to make a sig of 1 of my fav chars of all time and it turned out kinda crap. only reason y im postin it is probably just to keep in the forums lol. its too plain, the stuff on the right by the text is out of place, theres not really any effects, its too monotone, and theres pretty much no flow. im not sure about the text since thats basically 1 of my defaults so im just gonna go ahead and say its not too good either. The jap on the side from top to bottom is "Aku Soku Zan" which according to the anime is "Slay Evil Immediately" or "Evil Quickly Delete" in a more literal term, but thats besides the point of the sig itself. O well here it is.
idk wtf came over me... its too sharpened, too contrasted on the edges and not enough in the middle... ghar idk. ill have to mess around w/ new techniques again.

SO when it comes out too sharpened on the sides and not in the middle then you add a mask and soft brush the edges with a light opacity brush.
I realize you have to get back into so read some tuts man. It'll help you shake the rust off.
Your second one isn't as bad as the first. But remember don't use outerglow or beldnign options on text when you are still learning.
Follow two or three tuts and it will all come back to you.
