Space City

Hey havent done any big art for a while so here is a new piece i've done :D

didnt take me long after i got all the city and stuff on PS :D

EDIT: I no about how sharp the city is i tried to sort that out but it just got to the stage where i went... Ahh... fuck it xD

to me it looks pretty slapped on, although the idea could be cool. it just seems to me it could use much more work for example the planet behind the city just feels completely out of place, secondly to that the cloud effect followed by the darkness kinda breaks flow.

as for the city and thats probably the stock it feels completely as a fake or a simulated you know?, i think the lightning is a bit off
i like the text same as your blue sig. it looks good.

its a good concept i think it isn't brought forth to neatly but with a bit tuning up it could look pretty good

i honestly dont like space doenst seem to have any purpose to me , but thats me being biased i want LP's to have a meaning ehehehe (school stuff), taking that aside i guess the deal with space art is the credibility you can give through it, and at this point i dont quite buy it.

allhtouhg i could like the idea right now seems a bit rusty if you know what i mean =D

You clearly have the skill, yet it seems to me like you have no idea on composition! :p

I.e hard to read text, and no negative space, also a VERY strange view ( Is this city floating in space next to a small planet? :p

Work on your composition and your pieces will look so much better.

Nice concept but the city looks a bit weird.
I think you should keep working on this, it's cool, just needs some work. :P

This the piece is not easy on the eye due to crappy composistion.

The city looks like a screenshot of SimCity 3000 with a Gradient Mask over it. That alone is a no-no, but it would work much better if you managed to get a much lower angle on the city. That, or you could move the city layer behind the planet and have it look like a meteor is crashing into your city :P. Any way you decide to change the composition, you will need a lower angle on the city. And you could probably stand to lower the opacity of the planet a little bit.
