Looks like photoshop, he must have made the shape and given it a layer style with a pattern fill and drop shadow. Good effect nice work, keep it up!

Thanks everyone, it's simple really. I made the shape in Photoshop (7), then merged the layers (there was like 39 layers) then took a brush that is a bird's wing, and just continuously changed the colors.
