What does "create new applied image" mean?? Any chance of describing the "light blurb" in more detail?? Very good tutorial thank you very much, i am halfway through a sig following this tut but i just keep looking at your end result and mine looks pathetic lol.

@Killer Monkey: Create a new layer, go to Image > Apply Image and hit okay, it creates a layer of all the layers below it combined, so you can work your magic on the layers combined. ;) It's handy with blending.
