Can anyone tell me how to make a border please on photoshop??
Normally i select the image (sig) after i have made it then go to modify > Border then go to Fill but the renders normally stick out of the border because i have to select the background layer otherwise says there are no pixels to select, surely there is a right/easier way?

For cinema style borders, use the box marquee tool on a new layer, then set the box mode (on the top bar underneath "file" bar) to Fixed Size and change the numbers to match the length or height of the canvas, and the other size say to... 5px or something then brush or fill in the space with black or whatever.
You can then duplicate the layer to fill the other side.
For your way of doing things, create a new layer and go to Image -> Apply Image before selecting all, then your image parts wont "pop up" over the top or anything.
