The effects arent good , the render needs to be blended. The text is just plain trying adding some effects to your text.

it looks a bit confused really. I think next artwork you should try a smaller canvas, it makes it easier to fill it up, i highly recomend trying a few signatures, they will give you a jumpstart on gfx design and this current artwork shows me a style prone to it.
The BG is okay though it does look a bit filtered\bland. Work on making it different, we dont want to see all of the same stuff over and over! spice it up a bit, gfx is all about using techniques of art in moderation.
i like the text. its not bad! keep up with using the defaults. until your gte a full knowledge of design its tough to pick a good font and defaults work better 99% of the time than any downloadable font.
This isnt bad, i encourage you to ncheck out some tutorials! pm me if you want a few more pointers.
