Also I can't take credit for the design... the design is the idea of lots of people including me... however I can take credit to modelling it in 3D...

believe me when i say i like the first one too.. but it seems the idea is for it to be Photorealistic and more possible looking to be realistic...
when I finalize the set I'll try and achieve photorealism by Lighting...
yes i'm getting paid.. but this is just for the pilot episode... when the show is final and ready to air i'll redo everything and start over fresh...

These look really good, although I can see a slight dip in realism. A good thing to incorporate in CG scenes and backdrops is to maintain a good balance between what is obviously CG and what should portray a realistic object, ie the tv in the background. I get the feeling that it's kind of "dreamy", and while it looks nice and gives a euphoric appearance, if you saw a green-screen host bounced onto that, you'd probably be reminded of a quirky saturday night live reenactment. :P
Overall it looks very nice, and feel free to disregard what I said about the realism factor. Just keep in mind what the focus of the work you're doing is, and try to envision how it might be used and incorporated. Client work always comes with little surprises, especially when you plan for things to be used a certain way, and they end up ruining your work. LOL
Gj overall, very good work.

@Splinter.: yes its a televised show.. but its local.. not an english show... although VTV is broadcasted all over the world I doubt anyone outside Maldives watches the channel...
