Vintage War photography.
I recently stumbled apon some images on a forum for a well known game.
Armed assault.
A member submitted these images.

And i was totally blown away by the style. I have been trying to get this style, but as of yet.. unable to get it.
Are there any tips or tutorials on how i can achieve the effect shown in the above photos?
Create two gradient maps, both black to white ( a reversed white to black)
set the bottom one on normal 80% and the second on luminosity.
layer > new layer
Image > apply image
Filter > texture > grain
erase what you don't like and lower the opacity
Layer > New layer
Image > apply image
set it on hard light
EDIT: you can do another apply image on a new layer and filter > blur > blur more, and erase around the centre if you want.
That's it.
All you need to do is change the noise from the current to monochrome. (i think) Just look at the filter options and change it to make the noise black and white, not colored.
