i decided to try and add a render to a stock, and then tried to blend them. in my opinion it's not horrible, but there's too much contrast.
anybody agree? :)

hmm pretty good, need to work on the blending a little more and tone down her face a little and the text needs some work take away the drop shadow
Yes, as your title says. A little too much contrast. I agree.
I agree with the contrast part too. It's a little too bright as well. Maybe lower the opacity in that.
