stock doesnt blend with the sig at all and text needs work but effects are good

You should work more with blending..
Also that purple c4d doesn't fit on man and distracts it.

besides that other said, his head in right dont look very good.
also. you sig is VERY wide

What sizes should I be going for instead then?

You did this one 450x150
I prefer something like 360 or 380 x 140 or 160 mostly.
it depends on render I'm working with
its hard to full the BG then its 450x150
you see, you did his head in right, becouse you didnt knew that to do more.
just change canvas size to <400px
150px is good :)

i will go for 400x160 max! but thats after i decide to black out the borders
