It needs a focal point, and having the brushing (I'm assuming) going in both directions just makes it even harder to focus on. Wait.. correct me if I'm wrong.. but is there a Metroid render in there? If there is, you can hardly see it and up to now it was a complete waste of time to put it in there. The only thing that made me notice it was the slight colour variation in the middle of the sig. I don't know... I think there's just too much going on. Maybe don't make it simple, just less active. I guess you can say that it's not missing something, it just has far too much.
THe text is what you need to work on ;). And make it blend, btw.
