Effects aren't bad. I think you need to work on compo and lighting more. Your render choices seem bad too, find a good stockbucket to use as your currents are either LQ or don't fit imo. Also try get a nice mood to the piece, some of them have strange atmo or none at all.
Ermm*cough*tut on the killzone one *cough* thats the best one all others as splint said need to be improved, they aren't bad though.
hm, they all have HQ renders except the first one. Most of them are renders from a wallpaper. :\
The killzone one is just smudging ;) Use unique brushes made by urself, helps alot.
I wont be using these styles I think for my sigs, although I like the master chief one myself :p
Great stuff my fav is the tomb raider one.
