I have two images which i made aaaaages ago, but i've forgotten how to do the effect used on them and i kinda wanna use it [images shown below].

They have a kind of texture to them and i have no idea how to replicate it! Any help would be awesome :)

To me it looks like you saved it as a .gif in paint(low quality) and then saved it as a jpg for whatever reason.
You steered me in the right direction! I just had to reduce the colour depth and tweak it a bit. Thank you, i've been looking at this for hours!

I don't understand how that would work? I thought there was an actual tool that allowed you to have dots all over, like scanlines. Meh, glad rhydian could help you Samii. :)
There probably is, but my images don't have the same pattern all over - they're different in some places if you look closely. Kind of picky of me to want it but meh, i like it :)
