Stop using clipping masks so much and learn some new techniques.

But that is where I'm stuck. I need some tuts and guidance. What new techniques can you suggest? I'm all ears and ready to learn.

cliping masks are okayy, you just have to know how to use them, just like c4ds, but in this sig bottom 2 looks kinda annoying, and the render is low quality?

try not to use that vivid BG next time, its really harsh mate, and i wouldnt choose a column theme for this guy, i kinda like effects in his left
