I was okay with it all up until the point I put it up on the internets, now I amn't excited for it anymore...

I actually like in the text in the background, it's neat. :D
The effects aren't bad either, you just need to blend more.
Good render choice as well.
Everything looks pretty good for a sprite sig, and it's easy to see which is good.

First one may be too under-contrasted, and the second may be too over-contrasted =S
