45 Minute Sketch

I attempted another sketch. This one took me longer because I tried to focus more on detail and proportions (although I really screwed up the hand...I've always been bad at hands.) I'm a little irritated that most of my shading was lost in the scanning process. I'll have to figure out more about my scanner and hopefully next time it will look better.

the more you focus on one thing the worst it comes out...
atleast that's how it works with me.. :|

it's a nice sketch...you should work on the shades...don't fill everything with the same tone..leave soma spaces in white if needed..

I was trying to get different shades by using varying pressure with my pencil, but alas, I still need to work on that. I've always had a huge problem with using too much pressure, due to the way I have always held my pencil when I was a kid, and the fact that I'm a lefty causes me to drag the side of my hand across the picture. It's hard to mentally stop doing that after doing it for 20 some years.

it's a matter of practice... ;)

I think that there is too much detail on the pants, and not enough detail on the rest.
