Overall i agree for a third it's nto bad at all. However it seems a bti big.
Next time making a sig make the canvas size a bit smaller. It makes it easier to make it look full.
The BG isnt bad. The brushing is okay, but it's a bit flat. Next time maybe try smudging or somethign else that has a bit more depth.

Also when working with text try to use a more default looking font the blend much more easily.

I suggest you read a few tuts they might help you get your bearings more :)
