Vector Swirls? How?

Hey guys

I was just wondering how to do these effects?

I've seen tutorials showing how to do them before, but now I totally forget what they're called. Can anyone help?

I don't have any more pictures, sorry. It's the gradient swirls on that picture that I'm talking about.

Honestly they look like transparent shapes overlapping each other. If you want to make actual swirls with a vector shape, just look in the "effect" menu, there's a lot of potential effects you can use to obtain that particular look.

Well when I called it "Vector swirls" I just put that there as a title I don't think they're called that. I've seen them used in a bunch of plain backgrounds before but I can't remember what the name of it is! Can anyone help? They are just transparent shapes overlapping each other but it does it automatically I think it's hard to explain...
