Not bad, I think your main concern is text though. Some great blending in the Silver Surfer one.
The second one I don't really like. Render is out of place compared to the background, not much flow.
Your improving so keep at it.

Both looks great! first one needs some work on the text (as said above) but other then that, they look pretty good! nice job! :D

i like it.. blending and colors look good..!! The txt still needs some work..
