I don't have a clue what gradient mesh is, that's new to me.
But the detail in the pepper is very good. Colouring is just right and the lighting is spot on.
Very nice job, keep it up. :D
I don't know why I can't edit my own posts.... but I deleted the image because it was set to the wrong color profile... here is an updated version.
