this is pretty cool.
i think that pen tool is kinda unnecessary.
imo. i think you should take the gradiant tool out and make it go blue to white diagnoly. so that the light source is purple ish.
then maybe set the opacity lighter or erase that parts its to heavy from the gradient tool

Is this better?

i like it better with colour, it looks amazing i love the way the spatter behind it really looks like its connecting the foreground with the background. i could see a c4d around the render a bit more, but even without it, everything looks great. just a little more added to make it a little more interesting ( some sort of fx to really bring it to life and blend it in with the background a little more) and it will be so so s os os ososo soososo (you get the point) amazing!!! (it already is amazing)

I know what it is i'm just crap at it ^^
I like the concept, the first one is better. Make the effect darker and give it more character cos atm its just really really bright and not much else. Has potential keep working on it if u havent given up on it.
