Any advice where i can improve more?

Since the first one has a dull background, the effects need to be stronger and more focused with the flow. In the second one, I'm not liking the grunge background because it doesn't follow the flow. Both renders chosen have great potential for directional flow, so I'd like to see that emphasized with the effects more.
