As well as your joke, it might be helpful if you could comment on the sig as well. ;)

The Text is very hard to read. Colours are blending in with the background. Since you have used a shadow on the entire sig, it might be a good idea to apply this effect on the sig as well.

One thing that I can see is that the glow is too overpowering. It draws away alot of the major details and makes it hard to view.

i love the way you were able to mask the differences between the character focus and the background without it appearing too out of place, you did a really good job there. in the first one i feel that her outfit clashes with the background colours quite a bit, bringing your eyes onto her torso instead of her face, and in the second one i feel that the swoosh thingy is kinda out of place, and unneeded. (in the 2nd) i love the way it almost seems like she's in an asian water colour painting xDD sorry if thats just me but i think thats so cool. i think you could have cut off the black part on the right side (2nd sig again lol), it seems a little out of place.
good job tho i like them overall :D
