It probably is a intentional effect, but the spotlights on the left create a kind of dazzling effect, meaning that it draws in the look and make the remaining part look dark, although it actually quite bright itself. It's the effect a real spotlight would create, so that's fine. Draws attention away from Calvin, though.
Right side is quite interesting, but it could do with a bit of cropping. That hand there is a bit random, too.
effect is render/halftone (or something like that) and it is way to contrasted to the rest of the sig, also what is that dirt over the focal, clean that up it makes it look realy lq. and then.. that hand at the right bottom!!! i lold when i saw it!! so.. blend in the color haftone, clean up the dirt and hand and maybe add a c4d in front off the render to add some depth.. yeh it might work out nice this ;)
