well i discovered the pen tool the other day. i always knew it was there but had no idea what it did. so i did a little reading and learned it. i made every part of the cartoon with the pen. each color you see is a separate path. there's some really nice features to this tool that allow you to fill, stroke, and select areas enclosed by a path. hope you like it.
ya good idea mo, your tut is especially good for those who have no idea what the pen does at all (like me a few days ago). after you learn the basics, just experiment. i'm writing a tut soon on how to fill, stroke, and select paths that can really diversify your vector art.

not bad K but if u wanna give it a more vectory look knowch out the blured gradient type soft brush around the hair , vectors are more clean cut

pretty cool man. um....i used the pen tool maybe once or twice before i KINDA understand it and i KINDA dont. so i keep my distance from it atm.

The hair is too blurry in my opinion, Vectors are usually more sharp than that.

yeah that's true about the hair, but i when i said vector, i was referring to the vector paths used to create each of the layers. sorry for confusion.
