I'll be updating it throughout the day and most likely through tommorow. You can find the CSS page here. I'll upload as often as possible, so you can actually see as I work through problems. The only problem is, once it's done it's done. Maybe I'll make a step by step walkthrough...boy that'd be a big walkthrough.
If anyone has questions about anything, why I used a certain tag or why and image looks the way it does, feel free to ask. I'll give as detailed an answer as I can muster.

I'm coding this by hand, with a text editor (with code highlighting). I slice up my images in Photoshop using the marquee tool and copy/paste. Nothing's automated.

You get what you pay for, in the case you seem o be speaking of, nothing. When you start paying for hosting is when it starts getting good.

The site looks good man, I really enjoy the design. It looks very professional! What keywords are you attempting to target?

NextDay,
...What? I didn't understand that post...
Taco,
Keywords as in for spiders to pick up on? Haven't gotten to that yet, hosting of course, web design, graphic design, portfolio probably. Right now I'm concentrated on the content part of it, the meta data is last on my list

I forgot to mention the main splash image thing is on a rotating php script, so if you refresh a few times the image should change. The colors are weird on it, that's because I just adjusted the hue for a quick test to make sure the script was working alright.

Looking very pro.
might i just add one thing... I'm viewing it on a 1600x1200 res
and it looks really small and squeezed in the upper left corner of my screen...
perhaps it would look better to center it with a black or grey browser background... that way users of all resolution can enjoy it even more....
this is what it looks like on my screen: http://www.MyOnlineImages.com/Member...screenshot.jpg

Good point, and thanks for the screenshot.
I was considering centering it and using a tile background of some kind. But I'm not sure yet, I'm going to wait until it's all done and then decide. Since it's all basically controlled from the CSS page it's not a big deal to make changes later on.
1600...damn. you must have real trouble viewing www.ibm.com! I usually design for a max of 1280x1024... what size monitor do you use?

I use an AOC K9GLR or KLR series (not sure anymore ) 19"
I used to use 1280*1024, but then i figured the higher my resolution, the easier to work on big stuff in PS :P
Looks nice after getting used to it :D
IBM looks the same as yours, good thing i never visit it... :D
