I haven't Tried this style either so I can't really Cnc becuase ill have no idea what im takling about..:) The only thing i could point out is the text it ruined the tag in my opinion. ;)

Looks pretty good to me! maybe make the canvas smaller and i think this type of render would look better with vectorish type effects. good job!:)

I don't think I like the text either though the placement is good. Also, would've looked much better if you used more colors imo. =]

this is an old school style. I think you can only maybe the anime look good if its on a realistic background.
I think you overdone the small text and the colours make this look really childish in my oppinion. But i do think you have made a good job of the blending with it.
As i say it's just my oppinion, but this style was only good back in the old days :P
