I've just installed Photoshop CS4. I did a stroke effect for a render and placed it on Overlay and Fill 0%. When I begin to erase certain parts of the stroke, I see a faded version of the render. This is not supposed to be as the only thing that should appear is the stroke.
I never saw this in CS3. The eraser also does not work well on it and erasing is not 1:1. Has the the eraser in CS4 been sort of edited to perform like this? Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Your Erase is Probably on a Soft Brush so it erases and fades. Also you could just be on the wrong layer....

No I dont think it was on the wrong layer. Yes I have it on soft brush but I think its maybe a problem with the program. Any other help?

Sorry i uninstalled it. I'll install it again to see whats up. Thanks for the help so far. I'll see if anything else comes up after re-installation.
