this picture is part of the 52 day project I'm doing with silent shadow, if anybody remembers him.. Just messing around with my b800, but i ended up liking this picture...Too bad i had the ISO on 800 by accident.. :(

Edit: all my pics look foggy/brighter than they do in Photoshop, in here. Messed up i gotta check my settings and stuffs.

And yah i agree with the part that it looks different from photoshop, i realized that too.

good choice of lighting placement, its a nicely composed piece. What did you actually do to it on photoshop? It definitely looks more blurred on the right side and a bit grainy as well, but that'll be down to the ISO mistake you pointed out. Without the blur and a lower ISO i think we'd be looking at a perfectly good self portrait piece :)

As for the pic, like I said on the flow, it's a tad foggy but I like the pose ^_^

I really dislike the lighting on this shot actually. I'll get the shot next time.

Try to shoot from a higher angle next time, or from a further crop. Getting that close in on anybody in that angle will really bring out the neck, and that doesn't make anyone look good, because it under-defines the chin. Also, since you were talking about the weight thing, if you underlight the side that is most in frame, it will create the visual that there is less there. Good composition though.

thats true, up nose shots are never very flattering either ;)
