Hadouken

This was my first piece using Cs4 and i don't think i done a good job. but i do like the idea.

The shadow in this looks really weird, it doesnt look right at all i'd just drop it and paint a bit of darkness beneath him. with all that hard light on the side of his body, your gonna be sure as hell that shadow will be crisp.
the effects are okay but i think you could have done more with them, and compositionally this just isn't going anywhere.

I'm not a huge fan of the text either, its too big for an action that is so swift. Make is skinnier.

Finally i have to say you weren't exactly creative on this one either. This type of peice is getting a bit old, and i know you are inspired by other peices that look like this, which is why you wanted to make one like it. But be creative take this idea and make it your own, don't just cookie cut these things.
Sry dude overall its okay, good colors, and i like the effects. But it just isn't creative and the composition could be so much better.

i really agree with you dude. I was planning to do so much more but as you said im not creative enough and my patience doesn't help

and what an earth is that crappy typeface you used for 'hadoukan?' You would have been better off with Haettenshweiler or FuturaBlackCondensed. And PLEASE tell me that's not Comic Sans MS you used for 'Design 2010'? It is the devil.
