Ripping

Is it considered ripping when I download a PSD file and enhance it?

then, I'll give the enhanced pic to the one who made it?(as a gift)

umm it could be since you didnt make the work and then you gave it to him as if you made it so that could be considered as ripping

It's ripping unless the original creator gives you the permission to enchance it.

And even if they say it's ok, you better be crediting the original author.
