Stuck with tut im following

Hey guys/gurls im following a tut and as far as i can see its going real nyc well for my 2nd second anyway :D

im now stuck im on a part where he/she says the following

Get the 1px brush tool and have the colour set to white. Make the line come out from bottom of render

Well i can get the brush tool and colour :D but when i look at his tut his lines are curved but there real smooth to smooth for using basic hands, when i do it i get jags and everything in my lines

Is there another tool i can use a 1px white brush and get nyc curved smoothed line?

the guy in the tut definately used pen tool.

Just search pen tool tutorials on deviantart and you will get the hang of it :D
