If you're looking to make money off the time you spend working, get clients who are looking for your services in specific. Working under contract guarantees that #1. your time isn't wasted; you will be compensated for your work. #2. you aren't bloating clients by giving them the option to apply their own sense of design and decide what they think is best for their company. Sites like crowdspring are diluted and while alot of the work is good, neither the designer nor the end client benefits from it. I disagree entirely with the concept of "competing" for clients. Clients should view your portfolio and decide whether you are competent enough to do the job. By giving the clients the ability to decide what logo they use, only the "trendy" designs get selected and very rarely do "good" and "effective" intermingle when an uneducated individual is making the selection. And when there are 400 or so submissions to a particular client, only 1 wins. The rest just wasted their time.

If you're starting out fresh and you want to gain some experience, CS might be good for you. But if you're already confident in your abilities as a designer in any range or medium to meet a particular client's needs, don't waste your time with group competition. Expose yourself and let people see your work. Clients come to you for your design sense, it only makes sense that you should be the one who decides what the logo should look like and how it should correlate to the organization you're doing it for.

Yeah i am starting out fresh and need some experience in logo design. I noticed 2 days ago that what sucks more is the buyers not giving any feedback.
