i just started doing sigs again but i think they are pretty good i like em :D

you need to blend the render some more and work on the text also maybe some effects??. i like the colors on the yoshi one though.

Its a good start mate. ;) I tend to stay away from bevel and emboss, looks a bit tacky, sometimes works out well though, depends on the situation. Have a look at how to blend for starters, also take a look at the tutorials here, they are really helpful and easy to follow. ;)
