SqirlzReflect - help please

I have installed the new version (2.6) of this fun program and find I am having a problem with some of the options.

In the older version I was able to make a small plain dark blue graphic
(suitable for a siggy) and add some lovely ring ripples.
Now - with the new version, when I try - I get a weird colour added to my graphic within my outline.
I have tried choosing 'no color' and other options but cannot seem to get the results that I want.

Does anyone know how to correct this?
I really only want the lovely ripples on the area selected with no colour.
