been at SCAD, missed me?

so lately i've been at SCAD (savannah college of art and design) for some art seminars and yeah. so i'm in a graphic design class... (thats where i'm writing this from) i havent learned much but i might as well post what i did.
the point of this project was to do a poster about a social issue. my social issue is the lack of funding in art education mainly in public schools.
i'm actually not very proud of it, i hate the text at the bottom. i added the color behind it last minute, so i'll post the one without color behind the words and the one with color behind the words, i like the one without better.

The first version is pretty good but personally I do not like the swirly effect on her hand and on the 'L'.

Nevertheless great artwork I must say ^^

i think you can improve on this one.. i dont like how it fades out around everything.. like around the person..if it were a solid it might work better and the text is pretty good except i have to say the same about the fading out from it.. change it to a solid white.. almost like a stroke

the whole point was to make it look like the girl was taking her color from the butterfly, as if like she's getting life (represented by color) from the butterfly (aka art) but it didnt work out too well...

also my teacher made me FUCKING FLATTEN THE IMAGE
i'm SO FUCKING PISSED AT HER
CAUSE I WANTED TO EDIT IT
AND NOW I CANT

anyways so i cant do anything to it without starting over......

i legit do wanna kill my teacher she was horrible and i knew so much more than her... she didnt know what a mask was and how to download brushes and it took her three days to figure out WHO she needed to talk to to get me a fucking pen for a wacom graphic tablet... idk i'm pissed and tired cause the seminars just ended and i made some amazing friends there but now they're gone :(

Haha, should've saved a backup under a different name before doing so.
But glad to have you back, we missed you!

well she took my usb, and i only had one saved PSD copy... and she flattened and saved it before printing it for me.......... i still wanna kill her

she could have just made a new layer and applied image... but as you said shes not that smart :)
