I prefer the second one.
The red comes off a little too strong in the first one.
You should also get rid of the drop shadow in the text. It never looks good on designs.
Also, because you gave the c4d (behind the subject/ render) a 3d sort of feel, the background lacks on dimension when it is put together with the c4d.
Other than that, I really like the render you used and the way its set out.
I like the burst out style feel your sigs have, but again, it lacks blending. I like the more simple color you used this time and how it goes nicely with the focal but you did too much and it clashes too much with the focal, making it boring and some what boring. The text is poor. Too stylish. Again there is too much going on in the BG. You need to compensate for that and try to make the focal stand out even more. Work more on your lighting and composition. Keep at it!
I think the first version is better due to how monotone the second one is.
