basically i used the method in shiv's alien tut but tried to do it by memory and not look at the guide at all. Brightness contrast seems to remain an issue though

Nice lighting, text placement is a bit off, imo.

It could do with more effects. I mean, it's nice and all, but it's just kinda bland.

You should probably up the contrast in the first sig. the second one is worse imo. better without text though.
