Tried something with clipping mask.
Worked pretty long but I personally think it's a bit boring.

I think you overdid on the effects, wich makes 50 drown in them, he needs to stand ou more imo. Also I am not to shure about the flow..

I like the colours and stuff but maybe you should lower the opacity on some of the clipping mask to bring back a bit of 50, but still keep that great line affect ^^

Also lol my eye keeps being drawn to the nice green light a distance away from his head xD

I like the colors and effects, but i think you could definitely improve it with some adjustment layers and a bit of contrast.

Yeah the effect is cool, i think you need to make him stand out more rather than blend in

Stands out just fine, in my opinion. Flow is good too, I <3 diagonal flow. Like the effects and the colors. Very cool/ =]

I'd say maybe desaturate some of the clipping masks, a tiny bit (or even varying amounts), and maybe do a little of that to your bg as well to make him stand out just a little more.
