Darksiders

So i got really bored so i decided to make my first vert. And did a bita smudging:

too heavy on the smudging at the top, while the bottom is left untouched.

smudging will remove detail, so keeping the focal and details that identify the focal is necessary for a good smudge tag.
The sig shows some promise. (btw never put text in the corners!)

The smudge on the top right looks bad.

It seems as if you smudged though you never raised the scattering.
Try using a different technique and don't smudge too much.

I can't really say more effects because the stock itself covers the whole canvas.

Yes, text in the corner is a no. What you should do is compare text and without text.

So turn off the eyeball on your text layer and turn it on and see which version looks better.

I don't know, it's just something I do.

I suggest Setting the smudge on pin light(If it looks right)

To be honest, this IS NOT a good sig, and i just put it up because i was mucking about and testing things

You shouldn't put yourself down like that.

Every signature is a good signature.

With time and patience this could be a fabulous piece.

Smudging need some work, but once u created it in a good flow with some nice effects it will look awsome.

Yeah, i didnt realise until after that my smudge settings were all off - silly me.
