It looks good, I like the ripply effect on his arm.
The ripple effect on the left side of his body looks pretty bad though, you might have over did it there.

I think you could have played around with the background a bit more.

It looks quite plain.

Borders are meant to frame work, not to blend in. A simple black border would look fine here :p.

Good job though. Keep at it man!
