There is more to abstract than just "something random". You can still apply basic sig knowledge of more traditional art to abstract art.

and the halftone brushes are out of place.

Pretty much exactly what RunningMan said.
an abstract piece still needs a interesting vocal point, and flow etc.
This is just a tad to random :p
