holy chiz for your 2nd ever this is very impressive. Like seriously.. I'm impressed :P
However don't really like what you did with the render. Most of it is red and white than around the middle of the face it is black and white.
A nice border would of been nice too.
The effects are nice.
I hope to see more from you because I can tell you are going to be great at this.
