I've been making sigs for awhile, thanks in large part to the tutorials posted on these forums, and I'd like to get feedback on my latest one. Thanks all!

its gret :) Tho u should add light source to it, as i do [ u can do it all ways tho ]
1. new layer > apply image > filter > render [ i think so o.o ] > light.... = done:D u can erase what u dont like :) change 100%-0%
other way
2. new layer > white 200px soft bursh, and put it on top of the work, ofc have to find good place ment for it and try more touch the work with its soft sides.
Text could be better, but u got the right idea :) with changing fonts, colours, both text has to some how be difrent from each other. u got nice flow in right corner, well then try set gradient maps u can find them where the layers are , there is this circle with one black side and one white side, then choose colours, take it and change its opcy, to screen , or any other u like, change opcys hardness, then creat depth
the way to do it
1. new layer > apply image > filter > blurr > guasian blurr > 1.0 hardness = done half
and erase on ur focal [ the render and bit around it at bottom ]
some tips ;) ^
the focal is oh so hot :P
thats dota 2 right? lol, i thought that would be the new anti-mage, never woulda thought that he'll be blood seeker :P
Pretty dark. Like Linda said add a light source. My favorite way get a soft brush relatively large use the edge of it to place the light source then Gaussian blur or motion blur what ever floats your boat and mess with the Opacity. Imo you should place it behind the render(top left) but in front of the whatever effects are behind the focal. Otherwise pretty nice and flow is great. kiu,
I have a marginal question.... Why is a light source so important?
Why is it so important?
Without any form of lighting, something is incomplete.
In even little daily things, we have lighting. Lighting also doesn't necessarily mean a 200 pixel soft brush in a corner.
It's just an area where the light is coming from or where it is being emitted from.
Sometimes you create a light source unintentionally, just by your effects, smudging, filters, etc.
There is a small light source here, but it needs to be more defined.
Also, as I said above, a soft brush placed somewhere on your canvas is technically lighting, but there's no real effort put into it.
Play around with your blending options, try overlay, soft light, etc.
Erase, duplicate and even try the 'Lighting Effects' in the Filter tab at the top.
Filter --> Render --> Lighting Effects
Keep it up. im lookin forward to your next one, and the one after that, etc..
Yup! I've been a huge fan of DotA for a long time and I can't wait to see what Valve (one of my all-time favorite game companies) does with the standalone title, especially since IceFrog himself was hired for the sole reason to be on the DotA 2 development team. Pure awesome.
Just to see if I'm on the right track conceptually, I took your criticisms and updated the sig a bit. Thoughts on round 2?

I love the flow, blending is great, lighting looks much better now.
The only thing I find is the colors and text need work.
Good work otherwise, ^u^.
