Okay I started to make this as vector sig like what pleymo did with the boat...Well I failed miserably...So I went another route....Basically for me this is a tribute to those old chinese movies where its like this big evil person(monster) vs like two guys (one that looks like bruce lee if he were a stick figure and old wizard type guy)...
15 layers including the shapes and text.
The mountains and monster was all made by the pen tool
The men were made by the Epil. tool
If you guys dont get whats happening in the sig the guy on the right is making a through the mountain while guy left is going to fight the monster
It was preety simple to make but I think it looks preety awesome
despite what you said, it's still not a bad attempt at vector, maybe just a simpler version of it. pretty neat concept, one thing i would change is maybe have the guy shooting the thing face the other way and put him closest to the monster, then have the other guy behind him for backup. right now it just looks like he's shooting a rock. :D

lol, it would be sweet if you could make an animation of him doing that. blast a whole in the rock and run away. but otherwise, ya i'd just make him face the monster.

hmmmm thats a good I idea big..ill try it but ill probably be no good
lol, nj, i like how the first guy does the neo "bring it on" wave. the animation is overall pretty cheesy but it goes well with the overall style of the sig.
