KK a few things. Your first render feels like its been stretched too much and the cut of the renderisn't super. To keep the render but get rid of the bad cutting spots just blend it in a little with the bg to not make it stand out so much in those areas.

You picked good colours for your renders but the top one has a fractal in it that is too distrcting, I would suggest that you remove it , or more it behind him slightly and angel it from left top corner to bottom right corner so as to help give flow to this image :))

Bottom one distracts my eye with the smudge at the gutars handle, there isn;t any more smudge on this iamge for me to see so it kinda sticks out. I would also suggest that you get a good light source in that image as well ( coming from his right upper side) just to help with depth and show.

I on the other hand see nothing wrong with the boarder besides that its got colour running aorund it, I would suggest just sticking with a black for the time being.
